Heather Marlatt started this company in 2011 after beginning her career at the state diagnostic laboratory. Heather is an ASCP certified histotechnologist and loves the field. Her years spent at the veterinary diagnostic lab provided vast experience in every aspect of histological techniques as well as experience with a multitude of different species. Her experience includes but is not limited to: gross dissection, bone decalcification techiques, fixation, tissue embedding, microtomy, IHC, assay development, TMA construction and various special staining techniques. Heather has customized both staining and processing protocols for several clients. She attends the annual National Society for Histotechnology symposium to always stay on top of cutting edge technologies.
Jen joined our team in early 2018 and quickly became our pride and joy. Jen was looking for a career change and wanted to learn to become a laboratory technician. Jen is a fast learner and picked up the basics of assisting in the laboratory easily. She has now advanced to more intricate tasks and her background in customer service is shining brightly. She has always gone the extra mile to make things smoother, more efficient and best of all organized. Jen now oversees the basic in and outs of the daily laboratory operations as well as interfacing with our client base to answer questions about their orders. Juli joined our team mid 2019 and brings tremendous value to our organization. With her diverse background in multiple scientific disciplines, Juli is a shining star for Nationwide Histology. She spent 12 years running a human pathology lab in California and also worked for an organ transplant bank. In addition to routine histology Juli is versed in immunohistochemistry, immunofluroescence, electron microscopy and forensic pathology. We are so pleased she has decided to make a home here at Nationwide Histology.
Monty is our longest standing contract pathologist. He joined the team shortly after the company began and has provided top notch service ever since. He continues to be an expert in the field of research histopathology and all our clients are very satisfied with the quality of his qualitative and semi-quantitative readouts. Dr. Banerjee worked as an Anatomic Pathologist at Michigan State University, and research fellowship at the University of California Davis, working with non-human primates and rodent models of human disease. Monty has over 22 years diagnostic pathology experience with naturally occurring diseases in all animal species and birds. He has published his research and diagnostic cases for both laboratory and companion animals in peer reviewed journals. His current
Christina joined our team in 2014. She is an ACVP board certified pathologist and provides exceptional service. Her primary focus is diagnostic pathology but she also provides excellent imaging and images editing for our research clients to use for publication. Currently, Christina is using her more than 13 years in the industry focusing on canine genetic disorders. Christina received her DVM from Washington State University in 2010 and then continued on to complete her residency at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. Christina is able to perform necropsy services for local clientele in the Spokane Valley location and having her on our team is a real benefit to all of our clients.
